Data Sheet Abstract

TMS320F206 DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSOR

SPRS050A - NOVEMBER 1996 - REVISED APRIL 1998

features

description

The TMS320F206 Texas Instruments (TITM) digital signal processor (DSP) is fabricated with static CMOS integrated-circuit technology, and the architectural design is based upon that of the TMS320C20x series, optimized for low-power operation. The combination of advanced Harvard architecture, on-chip peripherals, on-chip memory, and a highly specialized instruction set is the basis of the operational flexibility and speed of the 'F206.

The 'F206 offers these advantages:

Table 1 shows the capacity of on-chip RAM and ROM, the number of serial and parallel I/O ports, the execution time of one machine cycle, and the type of package with total pin count of the TMS320F206 device.
