Data Sheet Abstract

SN54LV245, SN74LV245 OCTAL BUS TRANSCEIVERS WITH 3-STATE OUTPUTS

SCLS075E - JANUARY 1991 - REVISED APRIL 1996

features

description

These octal bus transceivers are designed for 2.7-V to 5.5-VVCC operation.

The 'LV245 are designed for asynchronous communication betweendata buses. The device transmits data from the A bus to the B bus orfrom the B bus to the A bus, depending upon the logic level at thedirection-control (DIR) input. The output-enable () input can be used to disable thedevice so the buses are effectively isolated.

The SN74LV245 is available in TI's shrink small-outline package(DB), which provides the same I/O pin count and functionality ofstandard small-outline packages in less than half theprinted-circuit-board area.

The SN54LV245 is characterized for operation over the fullmilitary temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The SN74LV245is characterized for operation from -40°C to 85°C.
