The SN74ABT16241 is a 16-bit buffer and line driver designedspecifically to improve both the performance and density of 3-statememory address drivers, clock drivers, and bus-oriented receivers andtransmitters. The device can be used as four 4-bit buffers, two 8-bitbuffers, or one 16-bit buffer. This device provides true outputs andcomplementary output-enable (OE and
) inputs.
To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down,
should be tiedto VCC through a pullup resistor; the minimum value of theresistor is determined by the current-sinking capability of thedriver. OE should be tied to GND through a pulldown resistor; theminimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sourcingcapability of the driver.
The SN74ABT16241 is available in TI's shrink small-outline package(DL), which provides twice the I/O pin count and functionality ofstandard small-outline packages in the same printed-circuit-boardarea.
The SN74ABT16241 is characterized for operation from -40°C to85°C.
