SCBS004E - OCTOBER 1987 - REVISED APRIL 1994
These octal buffers and line drivers are designed specifically toimprove both the performance and density of 3-state memory addressdrivers, clock drivers, and bus-oriented receivers and transmitters.Taken together with the ´BCT241 and ´BCT244, these devicesprovide the choice of selected combinations of inverting andnoninverting outputs, symmetrical
(active-low output-enable) inputs, and complementary OEand
inputs. Thesedevices feature high fan-out and improved fan-in.
The ´BCT240 is organized as two 4-bit buffers/line driverswith separate output-enable (
) inputs. When
islow, the device passes data from the A inputs to the Y outputs. When
is high, theoutputs are in the high-impedance state.
The SN54BCT240 is characterized for operation over the fullmilitary temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. TheSN74BCT240 is characterized for operation from 0°C to 70°C.
