TNETE100, TNETE211 THUNDERLAN(TM) PCB DESIGN GUIDELINES

The ThunderLAN TNETE100 is a single-chip Ehternet controller for the peripheral component interconnect (PCI) local bus that includes an integrated 10 Base-T/UTP (unshielded twisted pair) and 10 Base-5/AUI (attachment unit interface) physical layer device (PHY). Equipped with the appropriate PHY, the TNETE100 can handle 100 MBPS Ethernet protocols while accommodating growth in the users networking bandwidth demand. This document provides design guidelines for using the TNETE100 and its PCI interface. Two TNETE100 applications are shown, a network interface card and a UTP media interface card.
