Application Report Abstract

THE TMS320C54X DSP HPI AND PC PARALLEL PORT INTERFACE

The TMS320C5x and TMS320C54x contain a host port interface (HPI) functional block that interfaces to a microcontroller unit without external hardware. This document describes the hardware considerations for the interface design. The appendix provides the TMS320C5x assembler source code for the kernel software and software bootload sequence.
