



IMPLEMENTATION OF VECTOR MAXIMUM SEARCH BENCHMARK ON THE TMS320C8X PARALLEL DSPThe TMS320C8x (‘C8x) family of parallel multi-processors (PP) provide solutions for videoconferencing and telecommunications applications. This document shows the efficient performance of the 32-bit ‘C8x PP using the vector maximum search benchmark algorithm and the PP’s advanced assembly language features. It provides an understanding of the PP architecture and shows how to write efficient code for the ‘C8x. Familiarity with the basic concepts of DSP theory and the ‘C8x architecture is required.
