3-V (TLV320ACXX) AND 5-V (TCM320ACXX) VOICE-BAND AUDIO PROCESSORSThe voice-band audio processor (VBAP) provides a bi-directional interface between voice/audio and a digital system processor which is often a DSP. The VBAP receives digital signals from the digital processing system, converts the signal to analog, and outputs the signal to a device such as a speaker. This document describes the features, circuit functions, modes of operation and packaging information for the VBAP. Two VBAP applications are discussed, a loopback test circuit configuration and a VBAP frame-synch circuit.
