TPIC6595 POWERPLUS LOGIC(TM) 8-BIT SHIFT REG. WITH LOW-SIDE POWER DMOS SWITCHESThe TPIC6595 is a monolithic device that contains eight 1.5A/45-V low-side DMOS power switches combined with the logic functions of an SN74HC595, and packaged in a 20-pin dual in-line plastic package (DIP) or wide body surface-mount package (DW). The TPIC6595’s outputs are inverted relative to those of the SN74HC595. This document provides a functional description of the TPIC6595 and detailed application design considerations. Seven design examples using the TPIC6595 are provided with appropriate voltage-current waveforms.
