TMS370 Microcontroller Workshop

On special request TI also offers a TMS370 Workshop

This workshop provides you with a thorough, hands-on introduction to the TMS370 family of microcontrollers. The TMS370 family is the first family of configurable microcontrollers. In addition to a high-performance architecture, the TMS370 family includes peripheral feature such as A/D, serial ports, timers, and EEPROM.

Who should attend

The TMS370 workshop is for engineers and/or managers who will be involved with design projects using the TMS370 microcontroller family. Prior experience with assembly language as well as a basic understanding of how microcontrollers are used in a system is helpful, but not required.

What you will learn

  • Architecture and bus structure of the TMS370 family
  • How to program the TMS370 using the symbolic assembler and linker
  • How to download and debug programs using the symbolic assembler and linker

TMS370 Workshop Outline

  • TMS370 architecture overview
  • Development tools
  • CPU and memory organization
  • TMS370 instruction set overview
  • Assembler/linker
  • System and digital I/O configurations
  • Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI)
  • Interrupts and system reset
  • A/D converter
  • Timer 1 and timer 2
  • Serial Communications Interface (SCI)
  • EPROM/EEPROM modules
  • Design support

Exercises
