TMS320C6000 Development Tools

TI supports the TMS320C6000 processors with code generation and simulation tools.

Code Generation Tools: Optimizing C Compiler/Assembler/Linker (PC or SPARC)
The package includes an Optimizing ANSI C Compiler that offers many global and local code optimizations. It also includes an Assembly Optimizer, Assembler, Linker, Archiver, Run-time Support Library, Source Interlist Utility, Library Build Utility, stand-alone Loader, and Hex Conversion Utility.

Simulator Software (PC or SPARC)
The Simulator uses the new TMS320 Debugger GUI interface to simulate the operation of the 'C6000 processor on the host processor rather than targeting an actual 'C6000 target system. The debugger interface incorporates a Dynamic Profiler to help users find bottlenecks and improve efficiency. The Simulator can be used to benchmark and to evaluate the 'C6000 or to assist in code development when a target system is not yet available. Using the Simulator, you can run and stop the processor; step through individual C and assembly instructions; view and modify register values, memory values, and C variables; set and clear breakpoints; view disassembly and C source; and profile your code by lines, areas, or C functions.
