Software Overview

Unison™/Embedded is based on the same proven technology as Toolsmiths' mission-critical operating 
system: Unison. Both offer a full range of real-time features as well as a complement of additional 
services that enable system developers to move concepts from ideas to production.
Unison/Embedded is designed to be ported to custom hardware. Source can be provided both for the 
kernel and for common I/O devices, allowing customers to keep using the development environment and 
tools they are comfortable with.
Unison/Embedded addresses the needs of the embedded-product developer where growth and standards 
are important. Unison/Embedded provides a standards-based scalable operating system with a growth 
path to high-performance multiprocessing and a full development environment.
The pricing and licensing arrangements for Unison/Embedded were designed with the needs of volume 
products in mind. A single product license allows unlimited use of Unison/Embedded for that 
product.
