EYELIB
by Sinectonalysis, Inc.

Software Overview

EYELIB is an extensive set of >400 image-processing routines which have been optimized and hand
coded to take advantage of the `C30 and `C40 DSP architecture. The library contains high-quality,
high-performance building blocks for developers who need to implement standard image-processing
routines such as binarizing, edge detection, convolutions, 2-D FFTs, and others on high-performance
TMS320 processors.
Sinectonalysis algorithms are crafted to keep the CPU pipeline fully utilized, to maximize data
throughput, and to minimize register and memory access conflicts. The company's programmers have
developed innovative approaches to maximize the performance of matrix operations crucial to image
processing.
EYELIB is very flexible. The software supports floating point, complex, and fixed-point images. In
additions, all matrix algorithms can operate on submatrices or subimages.

Features and Benefits

•	Highest performance for `C30/'C40, callable from C, C++, ADA, and Assembler.
•	Universal—works with all environments and boards, all compilation models.
•	Over 400 functions useful in a wide variety of image-processing applications.
•	Small linkable modules keeps run-time programs small.
•	Maximizes use of on-chip memory; interruptible, relocatable, re-entrant.

Processor and System Specifications

•	Devices supported: TMS320C3x, TMS320C4x, Image-Processing Run-Time Support Libraries
•	Languages supported: C, C++, ADA, Assember
•	Host platforms: PC, Sun, HP, DEC, RS6000, Mac, VAX, PowerPC

Algorithm Verification

•	The European community-supported ESPRIT project for Neural Network-based Vision and Sensor
Signal System for Industrial Quality Control (NEUROQUACS) has chosen a suite of Sinectonalysis
libraries including DSP/Veclib for its development purposes. The NEUROQUACS team cited
Sinectonalysis for its excellent performance, fast technical support, and functions which cover the
widest task spectrum.
•	Also Spectrum Signal Processing has tested these libraries for ISO 9000 compliance.

Availability

•	Immediate
