Adaptive Filter Algorithms
by MultiDSP Inc.

Software Overview

MultiDSP's Adaptive Signal Processing (ASP) is a most efficient and easy-to-use software. It
contains 21 different adaptive filter algorithms: five LMSs, three lattice LMSs, three transversal
fast Kalmans, three fast a posteriori error sequential techniques (FAEST), and four QR rotations.
It supports four different design applications: Prediction, Modeling, Multi-Channel, and
Multi-Dimension. Each software module can be applied to a specific application.

Features and Benefits

•	21 different adaptive filter algorithms
•	Architectures: transversal, lattice-ladder, ARMA, and arrays
•	Support four applications: Prediction, Modeling, Multi-Channel, and Multi-Dimension

Processor and System Requirements

•	TMS320C3x, TMS320C4x

Usage Limitations or Performance Considerations

•	Program memory: 0.5 kwords or less
•	Data memory: 0.5 kwords or less for most applications

Algorithm Verification

MultiDSP's Adaptive Filter Algorithms are validated through the following suite of tests:
•	MultiDSP adaptive noise canceller test

Availability

•	MultiDSP's Adaptive Filter Algorithms are available now.

Company Background and Contact Information

MultiDSP was founded by H. G. Yeh and C. Hsueh. The founders of MultiDSP have over 20 years of
experience in DSP algorithms, hardware and software systems, control and telecommunications
systems. Specifically, Dr. H. G. Yeh has been honored with several awards from NASA. He also owns
a U.S. patent on Kalman Filter Implementation. MultiDSP's business model is to develop a close
partnership with their customers via a high level of service and engineering to ensure mutual
success.
