Software Overview

Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) is the process by which machines translate spoken input to text 
strings. The L&H.asr1500/T is a high-quality speaker-independent, phoneme-based recognition engine 
for the telephony and telecommunications environments. Based on improved phonetic modeling, it 
offers a dramatic increase in accuracy rates with optimization for commonly-used words. SCSA 
compliant as soon as the SCSA specifications are available. A Windows-based LexTool—grammar 
compiler and vocabulary builder—allows contexts to be exported to the target platform.
