Software Overview

Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) is the process by which machines translate spoken input to text 
strings. The L&H.asr1500/M is a high-quality speaker- independent, phoneme-based engine with 
optimization for commonly-used words. Based on improved phonetic modeling, it offers a dramatic 
increase in accuracy rates and ease of adding new words to the vocabulary for the computer and 
multimedia environments. Featuring continuous speech recognition, isolated word recognition, 
keyword spotting and continuous digits recognition, L&H.asr1500/M runs under Windows 95 and is 
Microsoft SAPI compatible.
