Software Overview

POTS Phone Driver is a device driver for HausWare, designed to provide all the features required to 
support a POTS phone. This includes line echo cancellation, activity detection, and DTMF detection 
for the handset.

Features and Benefits

•	ROM requirement is reduced when used with PSTN driver as DTMF detection code can be shared
•	Fully re-entrant, each extra port requires only small additional RAM space

Processor and System Requirements

Runs on Texas Instruments TMS320C5x family of DSPs.

None

Algorithm Verification

DTMF detection passes Mitel and Bellcore specs.

Availability

Immediately on 'C5x. Can easily be ported to 'C2xx and other TI fixed-point DSPs.
