Software Overview

HausWare is HotHaus' flagship DSP software product. It is a complete DSP software system solution 
for telecommunications applications. HausWare applies high- level software engineering concepts 
familiar to users of UNIX and Windows 95 to the real-time world of DSP software.
Tighter than a DSP O/S and purpose-written for telecommunications, HausWare provides a small BIOS 
to isolate hardware, re-entrant virtual device drivers to stream data to and from I/O, support for 
up to 16 ports, a digital switchboard to route calls easily between ports, a scheduler to control 
tasks, a media player to stream audio, a device manager, and a powerful API that allows access to 
the device drivers with familiar commands such as open, close, read, etc. 
Using HausWare means that the only additional DSP software required may be a DSP host, which can be 
implemented in C by programmers not familiar with DSP.

•	Less than 0.1 MIPS on average, 6K ROM, less than 0.1K Words RAM

Runs on Texas Instruments TMS320C5x family of DSPs.

Availability

Immediately on 'C5x and 'C25. Can easily be ported to 'C2xx and other TI fixed-point DSPs.
