OSE Auric
(Real-Time Operating System)
by ENEA DATA
Software Overview
OSE is a message-based real-time operating system for high-performance embedded systems. The signal
handling within OSE is extremely efficient, resulting in very high data-throughput rates, making it
ideal for high-performance communications applications. OSE also offers a modern, high-level
approach to the development of real-time systems, most applications can be programmed with a subset
of less than ten OSE calls. This results in a great clarity of design and much faster code
devlopment.
OSE Auric is a small, pre-emptive, multi-tasking real-time operating system especially made for DSP
applications. OSE Auric is taking full advantage of the different signal processors' command sets.
An automatic error handler is available in the kernel and since the application is relieved from
checking and handling errors, the code will be faster and more readable. A powerful set of debug
tools is also available, including a system-level simulator and a system-level debugger in which
you can catch, display, and trace system events.
