Here we see the C54x architecture.
The CPU (optimized core) is shown in the lower left, and is attached to the rest of the device through the bus structure, including program and data buses, and peripheral bus. Along the top we see RAM and ROM, power management functions, and emulation control. The C54x also offers a broad myriad of peripherals. Let’s examine the components in more detail.
