Available offerings to optimize your systemThe ’C541 features 5K word of RAM and 28K words of ROM. The ’C541 can be utilized for cost-sensitive telephony applications and allow entire systems to be integrated into its on-chip ROM. The ’C545 and ’C546 extrapolate this concept further with the addition of larger amounts of on-chip RAM, ROM, and intelligent peripherals.The ’C542 has 2K words of ROM and 10K words of RAM which provides the flexibility for many algorithms to implemented on chip. For applications requiring a smaller package, the ’C543 is available. The ’C549 features 32K words of on-chip RAM and 16K words of ROM. This large amount of on-chip RAM will enable designers to bring software functions from multiple DSPs together into a single chip. To allow even higher integration levels and to further reduce chip count, power dissipation, and system cost, the ’C5410 provides twice the amount of on-chip RAM as that of the ’C549. The 64K words of RAM on the C5410 helps to increase the number of algorithm channels that a single DSP can process while the three MCBSPs and the 6-channel DMA controller improve processor efficiency. The MCBSPs and DMA pull logic on-chip which reduces system cost and, thereby, reduces power dissipation. |
