This course is highly recommended for those who are new to the world of DSP. TMS320C6000 Mini-Workshop (Limited Seating) Time: Friday, August 7, 1998 8:30am-6pm Trainer: TBD Audience: Third Parties & Educators Description: The TMS320C6000 mini-workshop is a condensed version of TI's Technical Training Organization's 4-day course. The workshop is tailored for hardware/software engineers who plan to design with TMS320C6000 DSPs. Experience with digital systems and basic knowledge of assembly language programming is assumed. Basic knowledge of the C programming language is helpful, although not required. TMS320C5000 Mini-Workshop (Limited Seating) Time: Friday, August 7, 1998 8:30am-6pm Trainer: TBD Audience: Third-Parties & Educators Description: The TMS320C5000 workshop is a condensed version of TI's Technical Training Organization's 4 day course. This workshop is targeted to any engineer with a basic knowledge of microprocessor design. Familiarity with basic assembly coding and embedded system design are greatly beneficial. Each will consist of a small presentation followed by a question and answer/problem solving session. Session 1 topics to include (among others): DMA, Interrupts, Simple Compression, Integrating Tools with Applications. Other Technical Talk topics will be included in either session based on your feedback. Various aspects of how to deal with the press and was to generate media coverage will be discussed. Includes: who to talk to, how to convey your message, how to get the attention of the press, how to work with TI's media relations department. DSP Teaching Kit Workshop Time: Saturday, August 8, 1998 8am-Noon Facilitator: TBD Audience: Third Parties & Educators Description: An overview of TI's new Digital Signal Processing Teaching Kit-TMS320C5x (DTK). The DTK is a comprehensive resource for those implementing DSP lab courses.
