The TMS320C80 was honored with a 1994 BYTE Magazine Award of Distinction
in January. Of the 50 product excellence awards given by the magazine,
the 'C80 was one of only two processors selected.
Each year, BYTE Magazine formally recognizes products from all segments of personal computing which enable a new technology, set new standards of performance or price, or represent an innovation in existing technology.
"We are honored that the 'C80's impact on the industry has been acknowledged by BYTE Magazine," said Julie Gallagher, TMS320C80 marketing manager. "To be recognized in such a competitive environment is a great reward for our efforts".
